Bored to Tears!

I just don't have anything to say today. I'm not in the mood to depress myself or you...with boring tales of woe. My friend Josh has the next couple of days off from work, and I told him I'd hang out with him. It is very hard to committ to doing activities with him. I WILL be annoyed! (Love you, Joshy!). But, I'm kind of looking forward to it. We are planning on seeing Hollywoodland, The Black Dahlia, and The Last Kiss...Actually I took the Last Kiss away from him because I'm going to make JC see it with me on Sunday. So, I thought I'd copy and paste Josh's old blog about how we first met. He's such a dork, but a great friend...obnoxious and wonderful all at the same time!
And just for clarification, I did not tell him I thought people who go to the movies by themselves are crazy losers...I said I thought it was creepy when I see grown men in theatres in the middle of the morning...at matinees...I don't know what it is...it just seems kind of creepy...I was really just trying to make fun of Josh!

Elizabeth Part I
I have this friend Elizabeth. I never intended for her to be my friend. I worked along side her for 2 years, smiled occasionaly at her, admired her legs, eyes, and beautiful long red hair from time to time, but otherwise didn't give her much thought. I really wasted those 2 years. I sat beside her in the tax season of 2003. It wasn't by choice, the seat was assigned. I even left my name that my supervisor placed on my seat longer than it needed to be just so Elizabeth could know that this whole seating arrangement wasn't my idea, that I wasn't some lost puppy who was trying to sit by her so I could suckle at her big breasts. In fact I think my supervisor sat us together away from everyone else on the team beacause she felt that we were both rather quiet and well behaved and wouldn't bother each other or the people around us. The rest of the year, hell the rest of our friendship, would put that theory to shame.Elizabeth and I became fast friends and it was fun and suprising to find someone who thought a like and laughed at the same things I did. Every morning Elizabeth would be full of stories she had to tell me about all these strange things that seemed to happen to her from 4pm to 7am. I likewise, who almost never shares anything personal except for this blog which is free for anyone in the world to see, would find myself with diarhea of the mouth as I talked nonstop about the trivial adventures I had been on. As the season was coming closer to ending I wondered if I actually had made a real friend. It seemed really simple. The season would end and I would shake her hand, say "have a good offseason" and then not think about her again till the 2004 season started. I mean it happens all the time. Elizabeth gave me her phone number on our last day of work which would turn out to be my last day at the IRS. She told me to call her if I was ever going to go to the movies by myself. She believes that only crazy losers go to the movies alone. Knowing what I now know of Elizabeth, that wasn't an easy offer for her to make. And yet with that offer, she saved and solidified our friendship at the same time. I would have never seen her again. Now I get to be a part of her 4pm to 7am stories.

FYI

Just so you know...my computer is sitting here, on the floor, next to me...at my parent's house!!! Woo Hoo! I've taken the first step in getting it fixed...but alas, there it sits...I'm not the only slacker in the family! Also, I turn 30 in less than 20 days...
WTF? God, I feel great. I am a typical cancer (please refer back to this ). "At times you will seem to have the greatest love for life, yet at others you can be nothing but a self-pitying mess. You can be pleasant and cheerful, or you can be egotistical and vain." Yep, that's me! So, now comes the part where I have a great love of life. And isn't it sad that it stems from feeling secure that someone likes me? One final down...3 more to go! I can't wait for this semester to be over. It has been really hard. Really it was last Spring semester that was really hard, and almost killed me...and that semester seems to have put me in burnout mode for this past semester. But, next semester is new, and will probably kill me with how busy I'll be since I go back to work full-time in the Spring...but as much as I complain...I like being busy, busy, busy! Off to see Aaron the Beast in a couple of hours. Didn't have time to shave my legs this morning. ...

What is up?

Whew! I made it to my parent's house for once. My computer is still down, but it is my fault for not bringing it over to my dad's to get it fixed. It's kind of nice though to not always be so worried about checking my email or what not. I've been pretty busy. I was working my usually seasonal job for the last three weeks. Halloween happened, of course (pictures coming), and I've been interviewing like crazy. I'm going to be looking into temp jobs this week. I got a call from one, and she was going to put me into this once company that I've put in like 12 applications for. So, it might be easier for me to just find a temp-to-hire job. At least then I'll be relatively done with this whole interview crap. I don't even get nervous anymore...I just hate it. I'd rather sit in a bath tub full of frogs. Ok, maybe not that, but something else just as painful... I seriously had a blog written up in my head every single day for the last few wee...
