A Better Day

So at work I'm crosstraining with everyone in the company. Meaning that I have to go and sit with people who are doing stuff that I'm not even going to do. It's just so I understand the "assembly line". For the afternoon I was up on Joshy's floor. It made me feel good to have him around. He's always been there when I fall.

But I have had an epiphany lately. I have spent the last 15 years of my life living for other people...living for stupid men who can't grow up. Three of them. And I went to school for my mom...at least at first...and of course I have to live everyday for Gabby. But now I have the perfect opportunity. I gave up so many job options to stay here in SA to be with JC because HE said he wanted to move in together...and HE said he wanted to marry me and have babies. So for the last two years...and especially for the last 8 months since I graduated...I lived basically to accomodate him. So....now I can do what I want. I can try to let go of all the silly fears that keep me from doing what I want. And I have wanted to be a personal trainer for forever. I think I would be so good at it. When I was working out hard...and lost so much weight...and was healthy...I actually had like 3 different people at work sign up at the gym...and everyone went on a healthy diet that year. I think I can motivate...and I think I can sell.

So...I talked to Ray the Savior today during my workout. And I'm just gonna do it. I probably have about 6 to 7 months of hard training to get back to where I was before I fell into the beerfest and Ci Ci's pizza trap...but I can do it. There's nothing to stop me.

Last time JC and I broke up I met a really cute guy at school named Alex. I really liked him. Not so sure he liked me...but that was ok...then JC came back into my life and I forgot Alex. Today at work I met a cute French guy named Alex...weird.

Jessica's trip was good. There were some emotional moments, but the first day she was here...we cleaned...then on Friday we went and had the BEST dinner at Fleming's Steakhouse and Wine Bar. We drank a bottle of wine...had the best champagne infused Brie, and ate some rib eyes...Jess had mashed potatos with a gargonzola butter!!! And we had a VERY cute and nice waiter named Travis. Ask for him if you go there. I told Jessica, "I could go for some Travis." And then...thought...I've already been there done that with those waiter people and it's NOT good!!! Shopping on Saturday, and on Sunday we went and did a drive through safari. Jessica got slobbered on a lot more than Gabby and I did. She had to hold her hand out the window because it smelled like buffalo breath. So, I may not have been in the best of moods, but I did enjoy her visit. Especially that dinner...and the first night when we drank a few bottles of yummy wine...oh and we watched Marie Antoinette and A Very Long Engagement and The Notebook. Really great girly time. We even had Gabby taking out every bag of trash when we cleaned. And Jessica vacuumed my blinds.

FYI

Just so you know...my computer is sitting here, on the floor, next to me...at my parent's house!!! Woo Hoo! I've taken the first step in getting it fixed...but alas, there it sits...I'm not the only slacker in the family! Also, I turn 30 in less than 20 days...
WTF? God, I feel great. I am a typical cancer (please refer back to this ). "At times you will seem to have the greatest love for life, yet at others you can be nothing but a self-pitying mess. You can be pleasant and cheerful, or you can be egotistical and vain." Yep, that's me! So, now comes the part where I have a great love of life. And isn't it sad that it stems from feeling secure that someone likes me? One final down...3 more to go! I can't wait for this semester to be over. It has been really hard. Really it was last Spring semester that was really hard, and almost killed me...and that semester seems to have put me in burnout mode for this past semester. But, next semester is new, and will probably kill me with how busy I'll be since I go back to work full-time in the Spring...but as much as I complain...I like being busy, busy, busy! Off to see Aaron the Beast in a couple of hours. Didn't have time to shave my legs this morning. ...

What is up?

Whew! I made it to my parent's house for once. My computer is still down, but it is my fault for not bringing it over to my dad's to get it fixed. It's kind of nice though to not always be so worried about checking my email or what not. I've been pretty busy. I was working my usually seasonal job for the last three weeks. Halloween happened, of course (pictures coming), and I've been interviewing like crazy. I'm going to be looking into temp jobs this week. I got a call from one, and she was going to put me into this once company that I've put in like 12 applications for. So, it might be easier for me to just find a temp-to-hire job. At least then I'll be relatively done with this whole interview crap. I don't even get nervous anymore...I just hate it. I'd rather sit in a bath tub full of frogs. Ok, maybe not that, but something else just as painful... I seriously had a blog written up in my head every single day for the last few wee...
