Ho, Ho, Ho! Merry Job Hunting!

I had another interview with a temp service today that contacted me from getting my resume online. This sounds really exciting. It's for an appraisal company. Of course, I would be doing administrative assistant work, but it's working with a company that deals with land values...which = Geography, Geography, Geography. Could be very interesting. I have to go interview with them on Monday. The temp lady decided to give me some "helpful hints" at the end of my interview with them. She really was trying to be very helpful, but it hurt my feelings, of course. I'm sensitive. She said that she knows I would do a great job...just remember to go in there looking VERY professional...and maybe pull my hair back. Thanks. So, I'm cutting my hair off tomorrow. And, I thought I was looking pretty professional today! Black pinstriped pants...it's cold, so I wore my double breasted suit looking leather jacket...whatever. Time to go shopping I guess. I hate this professional wardrobe shit. I've worked at a place where my most professional attire consisted of capris and flip flops for the last 8 years...not to mention being a student.

Gabby has a fever and a sore throat today. She still wants to go to her dad's though. I think it would be better if she stays with me, but I don't really feel like fighting with her. The tears that come when she wants to go to her dad's break my heart, and I hate taking that away from her. At least she'd be there with her grandmother, so we'll see what happens.

If Gabby does go to her dad's I am definitely going out tonight. I have had the longest week ever! Tomorrow night is my Christmas party for my IRS job. That should be fun. I was really hoping that JC could get a Saturday night off for once because I would really like it if we could branch out a little bit, and hang out with some of my "people". But alas, he can't. I'm also getting my hair cut (thanks to temp lady's comment) tomorrow. Sunday I might go watch JC play football with his buddies. And that's my weekend...with a little more cleaning and possibly shopping thrown in for good measure. Oh...and going to see Blood Diamon or The Holiday would make this weekend even better. It's all up to how Gabby is feeling though, and if her grandmother doesn't mind watching her when she's sick.

Guess what? I went to gym yesterday...out of nowhere...worked out all by myself...no trainer...I even did 30 minutes of cardio. If I take Gabby to her dad's I'll go again this evening. I even tanned yesterday...planning on doing it again today...for the first time in FOREVER! My membership is up in May, so I better get some use out of. Eating habits have been in check for the last couple of days, too. Woo hoo!

I really, really detest arm/shoulder/chest/back workouts when I haven't done it in a while. It never fails...I wake up the next day, and my arms refuse to straighten out. It hurts like hell, and makes me wake funny.

JC is going to his mom's for Christmas in Dallas, and I'm going to be driving up the day after Christmas to drive him home so he doesn't have to get a plane ticket...and so I can finally meet his mom...his stepdad...and the other brother that I haven't met yet...he has 3. SCARY!

Elizabeth, I've missed you so!!! Now remember if you need any tips on professional attire I'm the chick to call! :) You'll do great. I'm sorry Gabby doesn't feel well. If you have time for lunch/breakfast/drink while you're in Dallas give me a jingle, I'll meet you. Love ya!
I would love to meet up with you! I'm only going to be there overnight, but maybe on my drive up! Send me an email with your number or something!

Pretty Decent Weekend

I went out Friday night, and....I met someone. We really, really hit it off. I think some of you who know me really well would be shocked at how good looking he is. His name is Paul, he's 29, and he's only been in San Antonio for about a week. Anyway, we talked all night, I drank a little too much, and so did he, so the night didn't actually end that well because there was an argument between him and Andrea. I thought he was a little rude, and also maybe he would be scared off. But we were texting last night, and we're going to meet up next Friday. I really do think he should apologize to Andrea first though. Although, I'm so green with this dating thing...I almost think that's too much to ask when you're getting to know someone. I don't know, you tell me. Saturday I pretty much did nothing but recover. And then Sunday, Andrea, Gabby, and I went hiking. We did a Level 4 out of 5 trail for an hour and a half. I'm not sure how many miles it...

Busy!!!

This weekend was jammed pack with errands and stuff. I played the Sims3 for about 5 hours on Saturday, and other than that, I never really got to sit still. I took my car in on Saturday because it was shaking horribly whenever I got up 60mph. Ended up having to get 4 new tires and an alignment. Sunday, P-Dub and I went to Joshy's house and stole his couch. He's moving and gave me his old sectional. I LOVE it! P-Dub went to his dad's for dinner and I stayed home and nested. Cleaned, rearranged. Love it! Gabby had to stay at her dad's one more night since I didn't get my car back until today. P-Dub spent the night so he could take me to work. He played the Sims3 and I read my new book. It was so domestic and sweet. I knew I wasn't crazy when I took off Friday from work. I'm working way too hard. Because I have to. Really shouldn't say too much about my job here, so I'll just say that I've been doing too much...alone. And it's kil...

2 More Days!!!

Gabby and I get on a plane that leaves at 5:30am on Friday to head to DC to be with Jessica, Eric, and the new dog. I can't wait! Gabby's never been! And she was too little the last time she was on a plane to remember it. Exciting! Last week, Jess' friend Deannie was in San Antonio. We met up for dinner and drinks. Love ya, Deannie!
