Good...

I recently read a book called Good Grief...it was about a woman who's husband dies and the book is split up into the five stages of grief. It was sad, but written with lots of humor...and it kind of applies to just losing someone in general. The one thing I liked a lot in this book was that the main character and her best friend have this thing that they do every time they go out with a guy and it ends for one reason or another...they write a "good riddance" list...a list composed of all those things you convinced yourself were "cute", but really down deep they annoyed you to no end...so I thought this would be something good for me to do in my whole healing/growing process...this isn't meant to be bashing or mean spirited in any way...it's just the truth...

Good Riddance List

1. It annoyed me that he didn't take good care of his teeth. Not only just the shape of them...but everything...

2. It annoyed me that he sounded like a flock of geese when he blew his nose.

3. It annoyed me that he had to blow his nose every 5 minutes, and he would do it at dinner...at the table...

4. It annoyed me that he chewed with his mouth open and claimed it was because he couldn't breathe if he didn't.

5. It annoyed me that he cried more than I did.

6. It annoyed me that he got excited about things that seemed so "high school"...or just his innocent, naive look on life...or maybe on that one I'm just jaded.

7. It annoyed me that he would pick at his feet while we watched TV.

8. It annoyed me that he would wear the same pair of boxers for 3 days.

9. It annoyed me that he thought drinking was such a sport.

And

10. It annoyed me that he thought he was such a "man".

I DID leave out a couple of things on my previous list, Schwenk, I do want someone who loves my daughter...and I do want a man not a boy...and I do want someone who likes to listen to soft rock, and I do want someone who listens well, and I do want someone who has confidence, but isn't overly confident...my list keeps getting longer, and there are a few things I can compromise on...but not many...

Feeling the Urge . . . I'm kind of feeling an urge to blog this morning...just to get my thoughts out...do something to keep my mind busy and relieve some stress...yet, I don't seem to have anything to say. I totatlly skipped doing cardio this morning, and know that I won't make it to the gym for the rest of the day...being very lazy. I stopped this morning and got a bagel and coffee. I was standing in line with all the other people who were either wearing business suits or scrubs (I live in the medical center after all), and I felt quite out of place in my Maroon5 (yeah!) T-shirt and jeans that I wore to school last night and just threw on this morning to take Gabby to school. No make-up and hair in a ponytail. I was looking quite decrepit amongst those other "working folks"! I'm wondering how my life got to be this freakin' boring!!! And then I'm wondering why the bagel shop has to be right next to a mortuary?...just a thought.
What is the definition of love? Some anonymous person asked me this in the 'comments section' many blogs ago. A hard one to answer...everyone has a different answer...I am slowly admitting to myself that I have never truly been in love...I have felt deep affection for people, and I have had my feelings manipulated, and I have definitely been in lust...But I honestly can say that I've never been in love on my own terms...I'm so ready to be swept completely off my feet...
