Suck It Up

That's my new mantra. SUCK IT UP! I can be quite the whiny baby, quite the princess, etc, etc, etc. Ray Ray always teases me about the way I complain and "cry" at the gym, and if I could just suck it up I might be able to do "grown man" workouts. Today he told me I'm the "toughest baby" he knows. I like that. And I like learning to just "suck things up" instead of "crying" about it. I have an oral presentation in one of my classes that I got out of doing by telling the professor how terrified of public speaking I am, but now I've decided I'm going to suck it up. It's only three minutes of shaking and sweaty palms. I can deal with that, right?

This week has had it's good points and bad points so far. I haven't really felt like posting lately. I'm not sure what it is. I had a really hard test, I took Monday off from work, I had two great "grown man" workouts, Josh is annoying me, my mom is being nice to me, I kicked butt at work today . . . You figure out which are the highlights and lowlights.

I'm in desperate need of some beautrification, ya know . . . eyebrow wax, haircut, the works . . .

Public speaking is not my friend either. My body reacts like I'm going before a firing line rather than my peers. GOOD LUCK I'm pulling for you!!

Thank you, Holly!!! My body starts to do weird things, too! Only hoping I can keep it under control. There's a GREAT BIG podium in the class, so I think that will help...and I have a partner doing the other 3 minutes of our presentation. He better help!!!

"Suck it up" was really what brought me out of my shy shell from earlier days. I wouldn't go to parties, hated the first day of school, FORGET public speaking, and you KNOW how I feel about bowling and buffets. Now I can ALMOST do all of those with telling myself to "suck it up" or "reach back" or "man up" ...all except bowling.

We are going to have to work on the bowling issue jessie. Its so much fun. Maybe if you went when it was really slow? I always bowl with the bumpers. Ha ha.
I'm with you, Jess. I hate bowling. Who bowls? LOL (Sorry, K). Timmy had his own personal fuscia bowling ball!!!

Feeling the Urge . . . I'm kind of feeling an urge to blog this morning...just to get my thoughts out...do something to keep my mind busy and relieve some stress...yet, I don't seem to have anything to say. I totatlly skipped doing cardio this morning, and know that I won't make it to the gym for the rest of the day...being very lazy. I stopped this morning and got a bagel and coffee. I was standing in line with all the other people who were either wearing business suits or scrubs (I live in the medical center after all), and I felt quite out of place in my Maroon5 (yeah!) T-shirt and jeans that I wore to school last night and just threw on this morning to take Gabby to school. No make-up and hair in a ponytail. I was looking quite decrepit amongst those other "working folks"! I'm wondering how my life got to be this freakin' boring!!! And then I'm wondering why the bagel shop has to be right next to a mortuary?...just a thought.
What is the definition of love? Some anonymous person asked me this in the 'comments section' many blogs ago. A hard one to answer...everyone has a different answer...I am slowly admitting to myself that I have never truly been in love...I have felt deep affection for people, and I have had my feelings manipulated, and I have definitely been in lust...But I honestly can say that I've never been in love on my own terms...I'm so ready to be swept completely off my feet...
