I'm Home

Not only am I home from visiting Jessica in DC, but I'm home from work as well. This spontaneous trip was not planned out very well, and I didn't give neurotic self enough time to have all of my laundry finished and hung up for the week. Not to mention I was very tired after an eventful weekend.

Josh took half the day off on Friday to take me to airport. You're thinking..."Awww, isn't he sweet!" Nope. He's really not. He's was just jealous, and needed to be involved in some way shape or form. He can't stand it when he doesn't get to be my "savior". I borrowed a suitcase for this trip, and it didn't have a lock on it. I know, you're not supposed to lock your luggage anymore, but I'm anal, and I just want to say "F-You" to the man! Josh and I stopped off at Target to get one. My god, never once can we just walk in a store together and not buy just what it is we came for. As we were looking for the locks, we got to wander through the isles and make notes of things we were gonna come back for. Oh, and Josh did buy the Grudge DVD.

I was freakin' out at this point. I don't mind flying at all. The take off, the landing, the being thousands of miles in the sky has never bothered me. Probably because I've been in planes since I was little. The part that bothers me is the whole getting there, getting checked in, going through security, getting on the plane, finding a seat, storing the carry ons, etc. I don't know why. But I was pretty much in freak out mode by the time Josh and I got to the airport almost 2 hours early. I got all checked in, felt better, and we decided to leave and have breakfast. Josh was not satisfied with me being freaked out and wanting to just go through a drive-thru. He wanted Huevos Rancheros for a $1.99 and there was no stopping him. So, we had a nice little Texan breakfast at Las Palapas, and I made him scarf his food down...not that he doesn't just do that on his own. Anyways, I made it on the plane fine, and everything was great. I had a window seat, and no one sitting next to me all the way to DC. No turbulance or anything, but I actually kind of like it when the plane gets bumpy! Just another of those freaky things about me!

I've realized that this weekend is just going to be to long to blog about right this minute, and I've gotta go...things to do...um, just laundry...and then I'm off to see my newest trainer Ray Ray...I thought the people at the gym just called him this as a nickname, but it really does say "Ray Ray" on his name tag. Funny.

I have the pre-travel stress, too. But I'm okay once I get through security. Love flying ... all that power upon take off. If I were a guy I might get a hard on during take offs.

Am I Going To Die? I just got stung for the first time ever by a wasp . . . So far so good . . . I can still breathe, I haven't swelled up like a balloon, yet . . . But it hurts and itches like crazy!!! It's almost the end of the semester and I am completely swamped! Two projects, two papers, and three finals, all in the next 3 weeks . . . Somehow I'll handle it. I've actually all of sudden "woken up" where school is concerned. I've been in such a daze for like the last 7 or 8 months. The AOC has changed my life as I knew it . . . in good and bad ways!!! Bad because he takes up too much of my thoughts . . . and I need all the brain capacity that I can get!!! Somehow, after years of barely even talking to anyone at work, and only a couple of years of actually being a little more friendly with my co-workers, I seem to have been sucked up in "office politics" and I HATE it! I used to really like going to work . . . now I just want to quit!! It still...
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! Last night there was a costume party (aka Halloween Party...but some people don't celebrate Halloween?...so hence just being called a costume party) for the Union stewards at work...I'm not a steward, and I only just became a memeber of the Union on my last day of work in June...and only became a memeber because there were a lot of "things" going on at work, and I didn't want to be easily fired...however, the party was at a good friend from work's house, so I got an invite...I think they just really needed an extra kid...the party was kicked off by us watching the little girls, including Gabby, do a project...the project was to get this guy from work into his costume...they did his make-up...he was such a good sport about it and it was hilarious!!! Then followed up by lots of Malibu on ice. I threw together a cat outfit, by the way, for the party...I'll have to post the pics...kind of funny. Tonight I will be out amongst all the other pa...
Time to Share? I have a huge crush. I have a huge crush on a man I've never met in person. I have a huge crush on a man who does things that are very cool. Yesterday in the mail I got the book that he sent me...the book that he wrote...a book about all of his travels and adventures. The more I read this book, the less confident I start to feel about this being a possible "match". I have no idea what I can offer this older, more sophisticated, more worldly man. The biggest adventures in my life are grappling with 18-year old freshmen for a parking space at school, finishing a set of push-ups and pull-ups at the gym, or wrestling my daughter to the ground for a bath. Maybe I can teach him all about Sponge-Bob Square Pants? This is again one of those times where things seem too good to be true. The emails we send back and forth would suggest that there is a great interest and curiosity on both sides, and that something really good could possibly come from this!!! His ...
