. . . 5 Bottles of Beer on the Wall . . .

I had the best weekend ever with my best bud, Josh...walking downtown on the Riverwalk, martinis at Swig,...(followed up my an IM conversation with the 'adventurous, online crush'...who Josh thinks I should start calling the AOC, but then I thought...Hmmm...one more thing Jess might think I'm stealing, but she stole my template...lol)...Saturday I actually went to the gym and did cardio, then Josh and I went to an art museum, lunch at a French restaurant, and then on to historical Gruene, TX...which included lots of bikers looking at my Josh like they wanted to kick his ass (kidding, my friend)...scary antique shops...a sliding climb down a steep hill to see the river, and then the "I can't breath and I have to quit smoking" climb back up the hill...drinks, appetizers, and desert at this very cool restaurant that I love...then it was back to SA...we wanted to see Alfie, but it didn't start for an hour or so...went back to my place and almost fell asleep on the couch...drove to this theatre, the Bijou, (I'm gonna get us there...) one of those theatres that you can buy alcohol in...so that's what we did...

Josh's little light bulb went on and he said, "Let's get a bucket o' beer"..."Sure, why not?"...$15.00 for the bucket...should have used that time at my house to consume a $5.00 six pack! They handed Josh the bucket which had no ice in it...they said to fill it up with ice at the self serve soda thingy...we walk to the little lady who rips the tickets...Josh, carrying this bucket, not by the handle, but with two hands...clink, clink, clink...no ice in the bucket...I forced the bucket away from Josh and proceeded to fill it up with ice...one side first...a few chips of ice fell out as I turned the bucket to do the other side..."JOSH", I yelled...laughter commenced for no reason other than, as I thought at the moment, because I tried to blame the spilling of the ice on Josh. We walked to the theatre, the only people with a bucket of beer, laughing uncontrollably, looking plastered already...what I didn't know was that I spilled more than just a couple of chips of ice...I spilled a lot of ice...and Josh heard the ticket ripper call for clean-up!!! Found our seats still trying to control this laughter as the other people in the theatre with coffee and soda stare...laughter became harder when I said to Josh that he didn't even get a six-pack for his 15 bucks...there were only 5 beers...This is probably one of those "You had to be there" funnies, but it was...funny, hilarious, uncontrollable great finish to a great weekend! (Loved the movie by the way, but I WAS half asleep, and drunk on laughter and beer). Will be posting pics of the weekend, most of them are just of me though, so I don't know, may rethink that...don't want anyone thinking I'm a narcissitic, vain, lover of myself!!! However, Josh is the one that took all of them, and made me do it!!!

Had the most amazing IM conversation with the AOC last night... ... ...

Jess and I have been talking more lately...she doesn't know this, but well, nevermind...I've missed her.

Two tests this week, paper due next week, paper due after Thanksgiving...haven't started on either one...Everyone keeps saying the semester is almost over, but people, that doesn't make me feel better...the closer it gets to the end, the more I have to do!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

Here's a quiz to find out if you're narcissistic: LINK
This was me...I do like to think the world revolves around me...but I'm a very nice person...so maybe they counter act each other?

Occasional narcissist. You occasionally think too highly of yourself; catch yourself whenever it seems like the world revolves around you.

:( I promise to make a better effort to share, call, bug, laugh, steal your blog templates, and listen. Your bliggity blog made me sad. Do I need to post the prom picture of 1991? I think I posted that pic of us on Cory's site back in the early summer - FYI.

Happy Freakin' New Year

Written January 1, 2021, when I tried to start a Wordpress blog , but failed because I'm old and it's too complicated. 2020 and I had a love/hate relationship. I hated seeing what was happening to others and the world. I dealt with my fair share of struggles, but mostly, I think I was the closest to contentment that I've ever been. 1. I LOVED working from home MOMO working from home 2. I felt closer to my family 3. I didn't mind the slower pace and less to do 4. I was able to have a better work/life balance 5. I felt more productive at home and at work 6. I did a couple of home projects - helped my parents landscape my front yard, gave my bedroom a makeover with my sister, and reorganized my pantry with her Before After Pantry Makeover Bedroom Makeover 7. I spent the best summer with my son and dogs at my sister'shouse - laughing, crying, painting rocks, getting to know my fur nieces and nephews (Wall-E, Maggie, Leeloo, and funny, little, Peyton who we lost in...

FYI

Just so you know...my computer is sitting here, on the floor, next to me...at my parent's house!!! Woo Hoo! I've taken the first step in getting it fixed...but alas, there it sits...I'm not the only slacker in the family! Also, I turn 30 in less than 20 days...

End of Summer

Who knew that at 28 years of age I would be writing a post about how I spent my summer. Don't people usually stop talking about their summers after a certain age? Say like, 22? It probably wouldn't be such a big deal to me if I wasn't still a student who doesn't haven't to have a "career" year round. Well, here it is . . . the end of summer. I go back to work on Monday, and school starts on Wednesday. My days of sleeping in, going out, etc are over. I still get every weekend off when Gabby goes to her dad's, but we'll still be a lot more "scheduled" around here. End of summers when I was younger always felt weird because you were sad about the summer being over, but a little excited about going back to school, shopping for school supplies and clothes, thinking about if there'd be a new cute guy in class, getting to see your friends everyday. I have a whole section in my memory that is filed under "Summer". It's my favori...
