My Sweet Boys

Black Hawk & Apache are on the left cuddling as usual. On the right is our puppy, Mojave (Mo Mo). We call him our puppy because he begs to play fetch, he gets on his hind legs and scratches at the sliding glass door, and he lays around like this...just out there, sometimes at the foot of the bed. He never curls up like a normal cat. Mo's going to get you!!!!

Did you know?

My new hobby is crocheting. I started before Christmas and so far have been making scarves for friends and family. Pictures to come soon. I'm getting pretty good and have now starting crocheting scarves and blankets. My sister and I are thinking about doing a craft show in May (she's knitting). Kind of exciting. Now if I only I could get my hands to not hurt, I could work faster!! Oh, and I really like doing it, so if you have a request you better hurry! Before I start charging! LOL!!

Re-decorating

The re-decorating of our humble apartment is coming along nicely. I think we have a really good mix of mine and P-Dub's style. We've each picked a few things and then put it all together. This weekend we drove around and looked at houses, since buying one is our plan between October 2011 & March 2012. It's nice to see this re-decorated living room come together and imagine it in our very own home together...with Gabby....and Black Hawk....and Apache....and Mo Mo... Our floor lamp we actually bought about a year ago, but it didn't go with the furniture then...now it does! Yay! The canvas photo that hangs above the couch I previously post about...it's 75x55. HUGE!!!!

LOOK!

1. Look how freakin' cute I was as a baby!!!. 2. Look how not so cute my mom's decorating was!!!

New Lamp

Apparently I have an issue buying lamps. The issue being that I like buying them. Too much. I have way too many. So, of course, I bought another one at IKEA on Saturday. I have really cute pictures of the actual lamp and me putting it together, but it seems our USB cord for the new camera has gone missing. You'll just have to deal with the store picture. Without further ado, this is the new lamp for our computer desk:

Redecorating

I'll need to play catch-up on everything that's been going on these days, but one of the things we've been doing around here is redecorating...melding mine and P-Dub's styles together. Yes, we're still in an apartment, but we want it to feel like "home" AND we've been very careful to redecorate with things we would also like in our house...someday...sigh... So, the first thing we did was buy a new couch! We're liking the greenish pillows for now, but are working on the entire living room being gray and white and then adding in like one bright green plant or a bowl of apples or something like that. Here's the couch: I don't know if it looks like it, but it's HUGE! You can fit two people on the sectional corner piece and another person across the regular couch part. I'm putting up pics of the wedding dresses I want to buy RIGHT NOW on True Romance?.

Have the lowest self-esteem of all time.

Ignore Mikey and ignore that I'm drunk and LOOK IT....this picture makes me want to lose weight AND grow my bangs out..... I'm glad I don't have that lifestyle anymore, but I want to look like I did when I was wasting my life away! I guess I wasted all that working out and good hair, too!!! My self-esteem is in the gutter. I weigh more than I ever have before. Well, kind of. I do weigh A LOT more, but more than that...I can tell every inch of muscle I had built working with a trainer for 3 years is almost gone...kind of makes the fat "spread" vs. "weighing more". The bangs have been a good change for the last couple of years...definitely more professional. But I seriously miss my wild locks. It always helped my self-esteem. So, on top of the weight issues, P-Dub accidentally threw away my new contacts...so I'm stuck in my glasses...AND...I've messed up my ankle and can't wear high heels to work. All this combined and I feel SO DUMPY! ...

Shackin' Up and more...

I didn't realize it had been so long since I last posted! A lot has happened. 1. P-Dub moved in. 2. I got a new kitten - Mojave. 3. ...hmmm...maybe that's it... I'll elaborate further when I have more time. One thing about living with someone is...not a lot of time to myself or privacy...no big deal...it's just no fun when someone's looking over your shoulder. How do you explain you're not being sneaky or secretive...you just don't feel like "talking about it". I don't know how else to explain it. I'll post more on the living together on True Romance?, and pictures of Moe-Moe to come...ok, I can't help myself...he's too cute...you can have a picture now...

My Sis & I saw Kathy Griffin about a month ago.

P-Dub's Birthday Gift

What to do????

I have no idea what to get P-Dub for his upcoming 37th birthday. He's SO HARD to buy for! I know people say that, but with him...it's almost impossible! There's no simple little things he likes...he's not sentimental...he's very picky, critical and judgmental...He just really doesn't ever LOVE anything, ya know? Well...things that I can afford...because I would totally get him an iTouch, too, but...that's past the budget. The only other "things" he loves are watches! So, I'm on a mission...to find him a watch that he will love and that won't break the bank. He also wants a watch box to display the only things he loves...his watches...but he wants black, with silver hardware and a clear top. Believe it or not...it's not that easy to find...especially since finding a watch box under $400 is almost impossible! Off I go to surf the net while P-Dub works out with his personal trainer...

My Daddy

So, Jess' new blog post made me think about my dad, especially since his birthday present just came in the mail and he's super excited...to watch it with P-Dub! Crazy. Anyway...here's some pics of me and MY dad! Yes, they're black & white with a splash of color because that's how I did a special PhotoBook for Father's Day...and I don't have time to fix up the originals... The day I was born...awwwwww.... This is my fondest memory. Me playing in our back room and my dad would come home from work in his BDUs and come in to "Hello". In my dad's Security Police beret. I always thought my dad was cooler than ANY other military guy because of the hat he got to wear...

I guess I should begin adding pics from our vacation!

I'll just the ones from Carly's birthday first. Any pics with P-Dub will be on True Romance?.

Too Cute!!! Miss her already!
